Clyde1998 I thought we controlled the game, but never really looked particularly dangerous today; Rotherham seemed to be very happy with at least a point. Once again we were saved by a wonder goal.
Defensively sound - obviously helps O'Connor and Williams will still be developing their understanding. Noticed O'Connor was very advanced at times today, often in the half space and put a few balls into the box.
Ehibhatiomhan also stood out for me: looked a lot more lively as a striker; running the channels; running at defenders. Probably his best game as a striker this season.

Snowflake RoyalVision Another poor 1st touch when in on goal. Doyle this time.
We are creating opportunities but our first touch at crucial moments is costing us dearly.
Only saw the second half, but passing quality and first touch were really poor at times. We frequently played a pass too short putting ourselves in touble. Or took so long making a decision we'd telegraphed the pass. Lots of passes backwards when other more positive passes were available.
I thought Wing and Savage were faily poor and at fault for that a lot, but Savage did pull out an absolute screamer.
Doyle is weak as piss and for someone with two good feet doesn’t have much of a first touch.
From the HT highlights, we had a couple of good first half chances, and could have had two pens. Then a couple of good chances second half. So despite looking slow, confused and poor at passing, we still created enough to win that comfortably if we could finish, let alone pass.
Absolutely hate the subs moving everyone around all the time. Don't bring on Garcia at RW and then move him to LB 5 minutes later to bring on Camara ffs. Kelvin got moved from striker to LW to RW. It's sends a message you don't know what you're doing, and you make the team have to constantly re-adjust.

South Coast RoyalPieEaterSnowflake Royal Fancy a win. Rotherham are in fine form, but that just means they're due a hiccup.
Probably tempting fate here, but I watched the Luton v Rotherham game last Saturday and both teams looked pretty poor.
Sherif looked decent as a target man but also went off injured.
I read the manager's comments after that game and he said how pleased he was with the result with 12 first-teamers missing.
A tight 1-1 with Wing scoring for us.

Yeah I have been watching live games on royals tv for ages. I’m telling you, there is no watch live. All I get is “buy video pass”. I have logged in, I have bought a pass, I have an email confirmation, I have been every which way around the site and it just doesn’t work. If it worked for you today, I guess you got lucky. But the site is an absolute broken mess and I honestly can’t find any way to use my pass.
Cross.
Have you tried clicking on Subscriptions?
Sorry, I don’t want to clog the match thread up with stupid technical issues, so I’ll drop it after this but yeah - I’ve been all over the site. That particular page is a car crash. You can’t scroll the subs, it’s stuck, and at the bottom under “upcoming live streams” the two buttons are “buy video pass” and “buy audio pass” and neither of them work. Not that I’d be any better off if they did, as I have already bought the video pass (via a different route - “match passes”).
Sigh. Was looking forward to watching. I guess the game being shit makes up for it in a weird way.

Crowbar6753 Really surprised Rhino didn't get some game time, if you're on the bench then you must be fit enough to play? Would have thought with 30 mins to go and with us struggling to get anything going that would be an ideal time for him to sit deep and break up play allowing Wing and Savage to get forward.
Would also have been nice for him to receive a warm welcome back in front of a decent crowd. My only gripe about todays game other than the obvious striking deficiencies was the slow labored build up play and the constant lateral and backward passing!! mostly by Wing.
Snowflake RoyalHound Just got back
We did ok. Much the better side - Rotherham came to stink the place out, Knick a goal and then shithouse - and that’s almost what they did
They’ve been on a good run and not conceded for ages so to actually create a fair bit was promising. They had one shot on target
Wing and Savage didn’t have great games, superb goal aside. Much lower than usual standards of passing
Doyle is frustrating. Just want so much more from him. Ritchie needs to keep his mouth shut to the ref. R Williams did fairly well. Ref was pretty dire tbh. Worst I’ve seen for a while. 4 mins injury time a joke and let them time waste constantly
Kelvin his usual mix of great and shite, often in the same move, but he did get chances and caused them problems throughout. Badly need a proper target man in and get him out wide though if we want to play like we do
Point is ok though. Keeps the unbeaten home run going. We’ve more discipline and shape now, do create as well. Just a couple of players who really should be doing better not offering enough
On the Additional time, isn’t it mandatory 30 seconds per sub and goal? Which would mean he awarded less than 2 minutes for multiple injury stoppages and time wasting. In the second half. There waa one stoppage that was at least 2 minutes. Ahead of 90 I was expecting min of 5, maybe up to 7 or 8.
He seemed to be doing half of Rovrum's stoppages and slow down for them. Freekicks for no advantage because they passed the ball backwards, forcing their player off without treatment because the physios came on, then letting them not restart for about 25 of those 30 seconds.

Strange how people see the same things differently. I thought the only time he looked decent was when he was playing out wide. When he was central I thought he was as poor as he can often be in that position.

Gunny Fishcake Fireworks after were as disappointing as the game , fitting for a miserable cold wet November day.
Considering we have a new manager, this was a woeful performance , didn't see anything difference from Hunt time, and nothing to give hope
Charlie's wonder goal saved the day but apart from that it was as flat as a pancake
Mid bottom table looms for the rest of the season

PieEater I know we've had some shit refs this season but this one was bad, 1min ET for the first half and 4 for the second when it should have been double that. I'll let him off for the most blatent handball but the foul shortly afterwards was a foul every time outside of the penalty area.
Follow that up with some terrible bookings and this is one ref I won't welcome back to the Mad Stad
One thing I did like, and I'm not sure if it's a new rule, if a player goes down and the game is stopped for them they get sent off for 30secs regardless of the trainer coming on.
I had to lol at the ref asking the player if he was OK after being off the pitch for 30 secs, yes of course he was because he feigned the original injury!
What to expect from Match Officials in 2025/26 - EFL website A less-is-more approach to handball will be maintained, recognising that not every instance of contact between a player’s hand or arm and the ball constitutes an offence.
The focus remains on letting the game flow while penalising only those handball situations that clearly meet the criteria for an offence.
No handball offence mitigating factors:Handball offence considerations:
- Justifiable position/action
- Supportive arm
- Player plays ball onto own arm
- Clear change of trajectory when touched by the same player
- Played by a teammate
- Proximity
- Deliberate movement of arm to the ball
- Clear additional arm movement to the ball after it has hit another body part
- Arm makes body bigger as a result of being in an unjustifiable position

How do you “log in to RoyalsTV”?? I can log into the site. But there is no “watch live” anywhere. Just “buy now”. I’ve bloody bought.
Very top right once you click on Royals TV from the main site. It will say log in assuming you are registered with Royals TV.
