Currently not able to buy a place. My question is: does anyone know of it's because it's not open on Saturday for the Bradford game, or is it a problem with the new ticketing site?

Looks like they're available. Log in to the ticketing site, click your name in the top right, select Buy Available Products, then scroll to find ‘Reading v Bradford City (Parking)’ and click on Car Park 6.
Only found this by following their instructions to add a name to the Luton waiting list. Again, you'd think there must be an easier way to flag the Luton game is sold out.

It literally became available just now - you must have provoked it into working
