Football’s a funny old game. At least you can have the satisfaction of feeling like you actually qualified for the CL when you stuff the ‘pool in a couple of weeks or so.

We've had our fair share of luck re decisions, but Martinez getting a three-game ban for slightly rearranging a hair bobble is madness.

Calvert-Lewin makes no attempt to get the ball, smashes Yoro in the face, and they score immediately. Nah, it's fine!

The same as the player who pulled Cucurella of Chelsea's hair the other week-standard punishment, so no argument.
This of course clouds the fact that Leeds were already 2-0 up and looking likely to score more.

All of a sudden it doesn't look quite so straightforward for them to qualify for the Champs League..
They play Chelsea away at the weekend and then have further tricky games to come including a game against their fairly local rivals as well as Brighton, Brentford and away at Sunderland.

Good to see, even if nearly everybody hates Leeds apart from my son-in-law..

The woodwork appears to be the latest defender for Man Utd-amazing luck for them v Chelsea and without that spawny win they would be joint 4th/5th with Liverpool.

If we win all our games and City/Arsenal lose all theirs, coupled with a 25-goal difference swing, then the title is ours 8)

A big game at the weekend will go a long way in deciding where in the Champs League positions Man Utd and Liverpool might finish.

I only saw the second half last night.
Brentford were all over them.
Casameiro easily conned the ref after being gently touched on the back, causing the great big lump to fall over.
An example of a player being more savvy than the ref.

We could have been 3 up in the first 15 mins, but could have also been 5-1 down by half time.

The second half was very pragmatic, just defend the lead and take the win. It did get a little nervous at the end

If you win, does that put you above us?

In the event of

ManU 0-1 Liverpool

Liverpool's GD becomes +14 and ManU's goes down to +13 ergo United move down a place in the table (or Liverpool up a place if you prefer).

However loSt is still manager there so it's not likely to be anything other than a nailed on home win.
