1) Barely go North for first 3 months - October 17th our first long trip.
2) Cambridge & Plymouth on Saturday (A) - good news
3) Bromley (A) later in season which is good news for those who will be sweating loyalty points. Allocation is going to be around 500ish.
4) Leyton Orient (A) midweek.
5) Huddersfield fixtures are scheduled weirdly. Play them late March/late April.
6) Oxford (A) same weekend as Reading Festival.

Overall worked out quite well (before Sky get involved with TV picks).

Oxford (A) so early in the season is one Richardson probably could have done without. Win that and it buys him time with an expectant fanbase. Lose and the pressure is ramped up significantly .

Oxford vs Reading on Reading festival weekend is interesting, Thames valley police could have their hands full.

I can see the time of that game changing to an early kick-off.

Could well be picked by Sky (will be announced by 2nd July), but I imagine the police would want an earlier kick-off regardless (like when we last played them).

Reading can confirm that our League One away fixture against Oxford United has been rescheduled.

The fixture, originally scheduled to take place on Saturday, 29 August, will now be played on Tuesday, 8 September with a 7:45 pm kick-off.

Should either Reading or Oxford United progress to Round Three of the Carabao Cup, the fixture will instead be played on Tuesday, 15 September.

This comes following a request from Thames Valley Police due to a number of significant events already taking place during that bank holiday weekend.

We appreciate the understanding of supporters affected by this change and will provide any further updates, including ticket information, in due course.

I thought this sort of thing was meant to be ironed out while the fixtures were being put together, obviously “Reading cannot play a League game in the Thames Valley on August BH weekend” needs to be used to update the “no Reading home games on August BH weekend”.
rhetoric.

Means we should get it on the tellybox red button thing though, so not all bad
