World Cup Royals of 2018-9

Emi Martinez and Michael Olise were together in our starting line-up for two games that season. Both ended 0-0. Manager - Al Kalheej's Jose Gomes.

Bacuna and Estohazi started four games together in midfield. We won one of them. Manager - Brazil's Paul Clement

Like to echo the club’s wishes of success to Rob and his family for the future.
According to Ramy (chronicle reporter) he’s about to sign for Bolton

Wonder if it's a location thing then, since he's never been at a Southern club, at least according to his wikipedia page.

Nyland plays a blinder for Norway against Brazil.

Are we sure this is the same player that played for us?

Not particularly surprising, what quality is tier 2 in France? This website https://globalfootballrankings.com/rankings/leagues/men ranks Ligue 2 at 34th while League One at 41st, would suggest a step up but not a massive one, the Championship meanwhile is ranked 7th.

How on earth can you meaningfully rank a division in one country against a division in another beyond the blindingly obvious (eg. money in the system etc.).

Sounds from that that England dropped a right ricket. With a bit less of the “good players can only be found in PL academies” approach we might now have a real World Cup chance.

I was always under the impression Olise was locked in for France but damn, that article suggests England could well have missed out through Premier League snobbery.

Where would he play in England's team? On the right like at Munich, leaving Bellingham in the middle?
