Can't believe there hasn't been a positive word for this crest. I do like the 80s gawdy block colour one, but for me this has been our best.

I really don't like the current one, and as someone said earlier, the Tilehurt End crest is a vast improvement on what we currently have.

Some lovely examples of improvements in this thread though. I do like a nice lion.

I think it should simply be:

"Reading FC", Blue letters on a white background.

Same - I’m a fan of our crest...like the blue & white hoops and it has a ball in it. I don’t like badges that don’t have a ball in them! My only issue is there’s a lot of red in it and I’m not sure what the relevance of red is to our club...is it a Royal thing?!

Good one, Millsy.

Maybe put it in comic sans?

I’m not fussed about the font tbh.

Looks like we're going to be getting a new one next year for the 150th anniversary!

Probably not terribly relevant to this thread but a few tweets down there's a pic of Osho and it looks like his head is far too small for the rest of him.

So do I.

I haven't bought a kit in years, but I think I might have to buy this one when it comes out as it will be a one-off special kit for the anniversary.

True. I'm holding onto my Elm Park green trees one. Might be worth £20 one day.

Some people have some really old ones though, I've seen disgusting yellow/blue hoops. No idea what that was from, probably an away kit before my time...

Away kit circa 1992-1994 I think.

Like what? All there is is an announcement that 150 years is launching shortly (unsurprising given 2021 is only 6/7 weeks away) and briefly in the “video” what might be the bottom most part of the current badge altered to say 1871-2021 with a “150 years” banner added underneath.

I like the idea more than anything, the presumed bottom bit I can see. Unless the rest of the crest is a picture of a pink dildo or something.

Ah ok so not too long before I became a regular. Will explain why I saw a few around, but less so in recent years.

Truly horrid shirt.

Has anyone superimposed the bottom part that's been released, on top of current badge and made it all gold?

Absolutely disgraceful opinion. That blue and yellow hooped kit was gorgeous, although it did mean we had a change strip of red and yellow hoops as well in case we came up against anyone in blue.

Red and yellow I can kind of cope with.

Blue and yellow looks fine on perhaps the Swedish flag or, um, Ikea?

But blue and yellow hoops? **retch**

rel8ed - I have said for ages I think the shirt should have the flag of Berkshire on it. Maybe a little one on the sleeve. Something to differentiate it from others and make it more personally linked to the area
