Slipped up there - had one before the game but as they'd sold out on the previous occasions before we'd even got to the ground I just went straight to the main bar at HT without even thinking to check if they were still serving. Then went outside and there they were still serving!PieEater wrote:quite sad to see the lack of half timers flocking to wbbrew,
I think this was a common error. I don't normally get a beer at HT because of the short time to drink it and the queues, but I wandered outside for some chips and thought I'd have a look if they were still there. Which worked out nicely, especially as almost no one else was there.EPR2.0 wrote:Slipped up there - had one before the game but as they'd sold out on the previous occasions before we'd even got to the ground I just went straight to the main bar at HT without even thinking to check if they were still serving. Didn't even think about it at half time either. If I realised they were still selling I would have gone for one.EPR2.0 wrote:Slipped up there - had one before the game but as they'd sold out on the previous occasions before we'd even got to the ground I just went straight to the main bar at HT without even thinking to check if they were still serving. There is no such thing as nice alcohol full stop.Tad Showbiz wrote:There is no such thing as a nice lager. All are gassy tasteless liquids.

You're not trying hard enough then. Try some of the golden ales or the citrus flavour ones.melonhead wrote:![]()

just cant stand ale is all.
i like my beers cold, crisp, refreshing and tasty
ale doesnt fulfil two of those measures for me
Bull. As a big ale drinker there is very much a thing called a 'good lager'. Not your Fosters, Bud that are only okay as a cheap way to get hammered (Not Carling which is undrinkable) but lagers such as The Crisp by Sixpoint Brewery which is a wonderful beer. If you think that all lagers are bad you haven't had the right ones.Tad Showbiz wrote:There is no such thing as a nice lager. All are gassy tasteless liquids.

Rumoured to have sold close to 1,500 pints on Saturday.Green wrote:I'd imagine the exact reverse unless they can raise the 1000 pint limit imposed on them.
