Sweet Caroline was better last night but I'm still not a fan...

It would be nice if, seeing as we apparently have to have goal music, the club made an effort for it to be more fan led. I don't mean a vote as those never really work, but just pay attention to what the fans do sing.

The perfect solution, for me, is to play something that enhances something we already sing at various points. So remix Erotic, speed it up a bit and play the right section of that on a loop after we score. Then we co-opt the Billie Oddie chant that's already popular into the goal music celebration. It's possible for it to just keep going after the music stops and it's fairly unique to us.

Woiuld be great to hear 20,000 singing Bill Oddie tonight though.

The man himself was on Talksport yesterday and said he was thinking of switching his support from Man U to Reading and then explained about the beard chant. He even had the two presenters joining in. They mentioned it a few times again throughout the programme and seemed mighty confused by it all.

Loved 2005/06 so much but when was this the pre match music? Can remember it at Reading I think but can't have been in 05/06 as Blakey said it happened at the end of that season

I may be wrong but I don't think it ever was pre-match music. My memory of it was that it was played after the game, when we won. In 2006/7 I think.

You're right, I'm pretty sure it wasn't ever played pre match. You might be right about it being played after we won in 06/07 too because I swear I can remember hearing it at the ground but not pre match.

I'd have that back if anything tbh.

Sweet Caroline was also played after the final match in 05/06 as well, as it was the first time I remember hearing it.

Actually if the club had any idea at all they would have picked up on Madonna's Erotica track and used the relevant bit out of that for the goal music....
