Would agree but I prefer new blood - believe Tranmere were in L1 last seasonWinston Biscuit wrote:Preferences:
Barnsley play off winner
Derby & Wednesday down
Oxford play off winner
Tranny play off winner
3 x 2nd tier play offs in a row before gradually dropping down the leagues and going non league. I feel like the footballing gods owe Tranmere one
I never understand football fans wanting their rivals to get relegated (or not promoted). Surely you want to play your rivals and beat them?!URZZZZ wrote:Would agree but I prefer new blood - believe Tranmere were in L1 last seasonWinston Biscuit wrote:Preferences:

Won’t find many people on a Reading forum wanting Oxford up!
Would be 01/02 season when we got promoted from Div 2? Nearly 20 years ago.NathStPaul wrote:Would agree with the above, local rivalries are what football is all about. When was the last time we had either Swindon or Oxford in the same division as us? Got to be getting on for 15 years?
Blimey, guess it says more about Swindon, Aldershot and Oxford than it does us. I guess geographically Wycombe are very much a local rival but they are so inoffensive as a club I end up wanting them to do well.Hendo wrote:Would be 01/02 season when we got promoted from Div 2? Any club that sound an air raid siren when they win a corner is ok with me, would be happy to see them come up. They do a lot of the local area in terms of student engagement and youth football too, proper community club.Hendo wrote:In League 1, I hope Lincoln go up via play-offs. As a previous resident of the city, I like to keep an eye out for their results and I'd be keen for a return to the city to watch the game (it will 100% be on a Tuesday night if they do get promoted, just to piss me off).
Better then that dickhead at Pompey spinning the rattle aroundNathStPaul wrote:Any club that sound an air raid siren when they win a corner is ok with me, would be happy to see them come up. The Watford v Leicester one is oxf*rd brilliant. Leicester got exactly what they deserved as well after that cheating prick Knockaert dived for their penalty.URZZZZ wrote:Love the end of season dramas like the ones above!
Would have been an intriguing PO final if we got there against Brentford - someone could finally break their hoodoo
It is a shame a lot of the drama has been taken away tis season, a lot has been sorted out already. Obviously we can all get behind Rotherham on Saturday and hope Derby lose to Wednesday, League 1 playoff picture has a bit of drama to it and the League 2 automatic places are still up for grabs but that is about it.URZZZZ wrote:Love the end of season dramas like the ones above!
