Snowflake Royal Well, certainly if its that lot we aren't playing.

Just Dorsett, Fraser and Garcia might be slightly different

Game will be off, it only takes 3 players called up to get a game postponed and Dorsett, Fraser and Garcia would do it.

It's voluntary isn't it?

It is but given we still look disjointed (though with signs of improvement) and we are aiming to sign 2 or 3 more players before Monday, I would imagine that the coaching staff would love a two week window without games to bed in patterns/players before the post break restart.

Even if we only have 3 fringe players called up, I'll be amazed if we choose to play.

All of the England youth squads announced today.

The first international window of the 2025-26 season takes place in early September, with six of our men’s England teams in action across ten days. Thomas Tuchel’s Three Lions resume their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign with a home game against Andorra at a sold-out Villa Park before they travel to Belgrade for a match with Serbia as they look to secure their place at next summer’s tournament in North America.

The MU21s will begin the defence of their latest EURO title when they start the new qualification campaign for the 2027 UEFA U21 EURO with a trip to play Kazakhstan in Aktobe. Lee Carsley will be naming his squad for the new tournament cycle, with players born from 1 January 2004 eligible to feature in this campaign. For Will Antwi’s MU19s and Liam Bramley’s MU17s, who are both preparing for their own EURO qualifiers later in the autumn, there are trips to Spain and Germany respectively for mini-tournaments. Meanwhile, Ben Futcher’s MU20s will be on home soil for a game with Italy in Chesterfield and Neil Ryan’s MU18s are also in Spain for a mini-tournament being held in Cadiz, as they begin their preparations for the FIFA U17 World Cup in Qatar this winter.

The squads for all six teams will be named on Friday 29 August

With a new squad. He will take the safe option of two full weeks training and an extra week of recovery.

Someone on X has said Garcia not called up so with just Camera & O'Mahoney away assume next Sat is on.

Having said that, there are as yet no youth squads announced on the England OS so no idea if where their info is from.

Canada are playing Romania and Wales, so could well see Fraser called up.

The situation has got so ridiculous that even 4th division and Conference sides have players selected for Andorra u20s or Luxemburg U19s leading to cancellation of fixtures .

Why not cancel from the off the designated Saturdays across all divisions and clubs could fix up friendlies if they want to well in advance or just take a break, once again being able to plan well in advance rather than having to wait until the week before.?
The top clubs are exempt that day from fixtures but lower division clubs remain uncertain although possibly have a good idea.

Incidentally do posters remember the away game at Sheff Utd ( ?1995)when Jimmy Quinn couldn't play for us because of international call -up but their keeper Kelly could having been released from the Irish squad the day before?.
It was a crucial game and very much affected by Quinny not playing and we felt cheated on the day.

RG30 Northampton OFF

Called off by Northampton....Garcia not called up this time which is surprising as he's started the season well. Maybe the change of position and England have better options further forward?

Neil Ryan’s MU18s are also in Spain for a mini-tournament being held in Cadiz, as they begin their preparations for the FIFA U17 World Cup in Qatar this winter.

This is quite a relevant point. Garcia is 32 days too old to play in this year's U17 World Cup. So if England are using the U18 fixtures to prepare, they obviously wouldn't select him. And I doubt if he's up to England U19 standard yet, so call-ups this autumn are less likely.

No doubt the mystery third call-up will soon become clear. As a possible example, last season Savage was added late to a Wales squad. He then was not even on the bench for either of their games, so I did wonder if we asked Wales to call him up so that we didn't have to play games without Bindon. (Edit - I see now that it is supposedly Northampton who had the call-ups.]

Canada are playing Romania and Wales, so could well see Fraser called up.

As mentioned on the international call up thread, Fraser is nowhere near the Canada squad.

Looking at central midfielders, their squad for Romania and Wales is: Stephen Eustáquio (28, Porto); Ismaël Koné (23, Sassuolo, on loan from Marseille); Mathieu Choinière (26, Los Angeles FC, on loan from Grasshopper); Niko Sigur (21, Hadjuk Split); Nathan Saliba (21; Anderlecht). Zorhan Bassong (26, Sporting Kansas City) seems to be playing CM for his club, but is listed as a defender by Canada themselves.

Other CM call ups in the past year (including the large preliminary squad for the CONCACAF Gold Cup) are: Jonathan Osorio (33, Toronto FC); Samuel Piette (30, CF Montréal); Mark-Anthony Kaye (30, San Jose Earthquakes); Victor Loturi (24, CF Montréal); Harry Paton (27, unattached, most recently at Motherwell); Ralph Priso (23, Vancouver Whitecaps); Justin Smith (Sporting Gijón, on loan from Espanyol); Alessandro Biello (19, HFX Wanderers, on loan from CF Montréal). Osario only withdrew from the Canada squad through injury. Most of these are playing at a higher level than League One and the arguable players (notably Biello) are younger than Fraser, so would get in the squad ahead of him for development reasons.

Fraser himself hasn’t been involved in a Canada squad since March 2024’s Copa América play-off against Trinidad and Tobago (when he was on the bench) and hasn’t played since getting sixty minutes from the bench in July 2023 in the Gold Cup quarter-final penalty loss to the United States. He last started in the final group game against Cuba.

He was never a regular anyway and at 27, with players competing at a higher level and many of them younger, I can’t imagine he’ll be in a Canada squad again (baring a massive injury crisis).

Thanks for the clarity- I hope it's been explained to Andre like this (if that's the reason why) as I'm sure he's disappointed.

It’s off as Northampton have had 3 called up. They have 2 players, one in the England u21 squad and one in the NI u20 squad (Ethan Wheatley & Michael Forbes) a third player, yet to be announced, has also been called up.

Out international’d by Northampton

Both Wheatley and Forbes are on loan to Northampton from Man Utd and West Ham respectively.

Would've though the third would be Tyrese Fornah, but he's not been named in the Sierra Leone squad. No-one else is obvious.
