Miles Obodo has joined Farnham.Sutekh wrote: ↑11 May 2026 17:51 Jacob Borgnis, John Clarke, Miles Obodo, Jeremiah Okine-Peters, Basil Tuma and Jay Williams have all been released.
1 year extension options exercised for Carter Blue Bowdery, Phil Duah, Sam Harrison, David Hicks, Luke Howard, Abraham Kanu, Harrison Rhone, John Ryan and Shay Spencer.
New deals offered to Boyd Beacroft, Tom Norcott, Emmanuel Osho, Matt Rowley, Tyler Sackey and Joe Barough.
Ashqar Ahmed, Kiyan Coke-Miles-Smith, Reece Evans, Jerae Jones, Sean Patton and Josh Welland remain under contract for the new season.
I have been saying for months that the U 21 captain Philip Duah is a real prospect. He’s only 19 and hopefully will be given an opportunity early next season.WestYorksRoyal wrote: ↑11 May 2026 16:25 Will be interesting to see who gets a chance from the U21s. One criticism of Richardson is that he hasn't used the academy enough, but looking at the ones retained I don't think any of them are ready to do much more than cup games and spots 20 - 25 in the league squad. Loans may be better options for them.
If he is a real prospect then you’d think the club would be talking to him already about a new deal rather than find he gets nicked for next to nothing this time next year.Royals and Racers wrote: ↑12 May 2026 09:29I have been saying for months that the U 21 captain Philip Duah is a real prospect. Aren’t there limits about what can be offered, when?Sutekh wrote: ↑12 May 2026 10:31If he is a real prospect then you’d think the club would be talking to him already about a new deal rather than find he gets nicked for next to nothing this time next year.Royals and Racers wrote: ↑12 May 2026 09:29I have been saying for months that the U 21 captain Philip Duah is a real prospect. He just looked too small and although quick didn't seem to have much awareness of what was happening around him, albeit based on only seeing him play bit parts now and then.
Not at 19. We could offer him £100k a week if we thought he was worth it. I think < 17 is where it's more tightly controlled.stealthpapes wrote: ↑12 May 2026 12:18Aren’t there limits about what can be offered, when?Sutekh wrote: ↑12 May 2026 10:31If he is a real prospect then you’d think the club would be talking to him already about a new deal rather than find he gets nicked for next to nothing this time next year.Royals and Racers wrote: ↑12 May 2026 09:29

At 18 a friend of a friend's son had a contract at £50,000 per week.stealthpapes wrote: ↑13 May 2026 16:49Cheers. You can guess which club-yes the one in South West London and not Fulham.
He played a couple of League Cup games, had a few loans, including Russia, but 5 years or so later I don't know here he has ended up.
No because I can't remember his surname and am not too fussed to find out.Pepe the Horseman wrote: ↑14 May 2026 13:53Couldn't you just Google it?South Coast Royal wrote: ↑14 May 2026 10:42At 18 a friend of a friend's son had a contract at £50,000 per week.

Top marks tidus.
I just checked him out and he is playing in Serie A again but once more loaned out.South Coast Royal wrote: ↑14 May 2026 15:13Top marks tidus.
Yes, that's the lad who even went on loan to Pompey.
A player in the Bellingham mould but obviously hasn't turned out to be quite so good.
