At less than £600, our season tickets cost no more than a decent night out for 2 taking in a top West End restaurant. There is no shortage of locally based football fans who enjoy this kind of lifestyle.

Whilst I can see a number of long term supporters deciding that £30 a match is too expensive, I will be amazed if the club have the slightest difficulty in passing on these seats to others with deeper pockets.

I feel sorry for those who struggle to pay the price of Premiership football but, given the current success of the team in one of the best leagues in the world, there will be many who see a seat at the Mad Stad as good value for money.....................me included.

You, me, my dad, my daughter, my nephew and my brother-in-law and about 15k+ others. Mind you, if you were to believe the apparent weight of opinion on here the club won't have sold any STs at all!

I have renewed 4 and lapsed the other 2. If prices rise any further I shall make this my last season.

As WR points out there are many who can afford these prices so in the short term those of us who drop out will not be missed. I suspect when the bad times return nemesis will strike. The glory hunters will not stick around and I - and I suspect most other long term fans who were priced out - will not return to watch the team even if prices drop.

If you go for a mini suite at the Hilton on your Big London Night Out it would cost you £650 for that alone. If you fancy the 4 Seasons you could pay £2,400.

And it's impossible to get a room at either of them at weekends unless you book way ahead. A meal, bar & taxis and your average London hotel will easily cost you £600 for a few hours of hedonism.

However, I can't afford a ST but i will still get one. I believe it is still value for seeing the team I have supported since a lad, playing in the best league in the world, even if the prices did rise slightly, which they won't, I'd still pay.

Given the age of this thread and the apparent lack of posts, I would say the non renewals are a small minority.

There's absolutely no chance we'll be struggling. I know of several people who are hoping to get STs this time round, and I'm sure plenty of others do too.

3 or 4 people that post on here indicate they are not renewing does not mean we will struggle to sell out o fseason tickets

however as nigel howe keeps saying the expansion will give scope for "pricing options". Hopefully mean those that can't these prices year in year out will have an opportunity to come back.

Rather than price, I think the bigger threat to season tickets is if we stay mid table season after season.

From what I understand the numbers sold are not at all bad, but there will be scope for new STH to get one.
Given that many people who aren't renewing seem to be banking on getting tickets on a match by match basis I think we'll still be selling out every week - making it pretty obvious why we are expanding the ground !

Good news, means my dad will get to games as he is able to, without there being an empty seat, so that means more will be able to attend matches, also means I have enough for most games if I choose to attend.

Numbers I heard were a little higher than 'minimal' to be honest, but probably about what would be expected.
I'd always reckoned you'd get a 10% turnover annually and if you add in a number of 'one season wonder' types and a proportion that the club may have decided not to allow to renew and the numbers seem right from what I was told.

Thinking more of the people mentioned in another thread who had their ST cancelled due to not keeping up with instalments...

I suspect that there were also some tickets traced back to agencies etc

Any bans for standing etc would probably have just been for a few games, doubt many would be given long term banning orders.
