It would be nice to have some song which all the fans can sing along to just before kick-off. It really adds to the match day experience.

Except that the match day experience is now vastly different from what it usedto be in the days of terraces. Then you needed to be in your place by 2 pm, and once there you'd stay put -with everyone doing that and no big screen or mobile phones, the atmosphere would build and build.

Nowadays, people watch the sky match in the concourses with a beer and wander out to their seat 5 minutes before kick off.

it depends where - at some grounds no-one bothered with a bottle - the back of the coat of the bloke standing in front was often good enough.
