Yeah, it's totally fine that the likes of John Utaka gets paid thousands of £s a week whilst the likes of St John's Ambulance or Dave from the ticket office get butt oxf*rd instead of paid.FiNeRaIn wrote:So?buzzby wrote:Yet the players still get there huge wages.Stranded wrote:85 members of staff made redundant.
Football is played on the pitch and their contracts are different. Far more complicated.
Play the ticket office staff. All can be signed as players on a free I suspect and will cost a tiny fraction of the actual players. Only problem lies in terminating player contracts without a massive fee or finding someone daft enough to take them.buzzby wrote:Surely all loan players should have to be sent back if there cutting costs.
The problem is, the contracts of players is one of very few assets of the club.Ian Royal wrote:Play the ticket office staff. Didn't we have similar qualms (but not to the same value) about playing Goater and/or Salako?dean horrix legend wrote:They have Aruna Dindane on loan from Lens and they now can't play him, as one more game and it will cost them £ 4 Million!
They're only rumours. I don't think it was ever confirmed that we would have to pay extra for more games.wolsey wrote:Didn't we have similar qualms (but not to the same value) about playing Goater and/or Salako?dean horrix legend wrote:They have Aruna Dindane on loan from Lens and they now can't play him, as one more game and it will cost them £ 4 Million!
Seems like a sensible (if not overdue) decision by Pompey.

But they would wouldn't theyBarry the bird boggler wrote:Not that it makes any difference to the conspiricists on here, the club said at the time that there were no such clauses on Goater or Salako
