I think you will find that I only said they should scrap all the buses after you said the club should not subsidise a tiny number of people. If you feel the club should not subsidise a tiny number of people then you must feel they should scrap all the buses no? Or have youy thought better about that not and we can subsidise them if they don;t lose too much money?

I think you can find all the answers already posted.
I certainly think it's questionable that subsidising buses for a small number of people is a good use of money when money is apparantly so short. It's not a core part of what a football club should be doing.
If there is a limited budget for the buses then it makes sense to use it for the greatest number of people to benefit.
If a third party can run buses at break even or better then that is ideal. Fans can get to the game, the club can spend money where it should. If you are able to full a bus and not lose money on it over a season then you'll have done 70 fans and the club a big favour and I'd hope you could factor in your own fare in the running costs as a deserved reward.
If 20 other people all thought like you and found routes / buses / fares that could be well supported we'd be way better off than we are now. I've always though that Henley should support a bus to games and probably lots of other places. Much better for local people to use their initiative and make them work - it's all part of the Big Society !!
