Pull your neck in Dirk. Where have I said I care about it all, where have I even hinted that I would boycott games because of it?Dirk Gently wrote:If only life was really like that. If you think it's an issue worth not attending matches for then go ahead and boycott the games but do make sure that the club know that's the reason you're not attending. That's really the only leverage you have on something like this which you clearly care passionately about but the vast majority of Reading supporters (quite a different demographic to the people on Hobhob, BTW) don't give a tinker's cuss about. But in reality that's the only leverage you have.Hoop Blah wrote:That doesn't mean we have to accept it though.
All credit to you for caring so passionately, but this is a commercial organisation you're dealing with - if the club was owned by its supporters things would be different, but it's not, and neither is it a democracy.
So if you really think you can get enough people interesting in this issue to make a protest to show how you "don't accept" it then good luck to you, but I can't think where you'd start.
Then they should have no music...Dirk Gently wrote:The simple fact is that music is a subjective thing. No matter what song is selected, people will post how terrible it is, because it's not their choice.
Which is why I simpy don't care, and don't think it's worth making a fuss about.

To be fair to the club, people have previously complained that playing the music straight away cuts short the "natural" celebrations, and they should hold off a bit. Damned if they do...Royal Lady wrote:...and please play it straight after we score.
It's bad enough that the lub do something that EVERYBODY hates, but what's worse is that if they keep doing it then soon LOTS of people will like it!!!That Friday Feeling wrote:Unfortunately it seems to be taking hold. LOTS of people in the East Stand were jumping around.
Which thing is it that EVERYBODY hates then?rabidbee wrote:It's bad enough that the lub do something that EVERYBODY hates, but what's worse is that if they keep doing it then soon LOTS of people will like it!!!That Friday Feeling wrote:Unfortunately it seems to be taking hold. Not really the answer needed! From the endless debates on here it is pretty clear that there is almost nothing that has either universal approval or disapproval. Certainly post-goal music falls into the 'no unanimity' bracket.rabidbee wrote:
