For all that Sunday League experience you are (like a lot of pundits)wrong.TheMaraudingDog wrote:BR2 wrote:Refs, for all their faults,do know the rules of the game.
So Slammed and Dog read what Poll has to say in today's paper.
BTW Dog I like the picture and the clever inference but my point was that we were comparing penalty decisions and not sendings-off-Gomes did not get sent off.I’ve not read any paper today nor what Poll has to say. I’ve been playing regular 11 a side Sunday League competitive football for 15+years and seen quite a games to boot so I feel I have a decent enough grasp of the rules myself. It was never a foul, nor was Gomez.BR2 wrote:Refs, for all their faults,do know the rules of the game.

Nothing to do with me doggy-I was pointing out what a top referee's view of the situation was-I don't really care because this decision didn't affect the game whereas the Webb decision did.TheMaraudingDog wrote:ALOL @ BR2 / VM
First up it was never a pen against Spurs (which it wasn’t) as Gomez got the ball then Carrick. However, when Fletcher gets the ball then Fabregas it is a pen (which it also wasn’t)
