That could actually work. Width produced by attacking wing backs, four players in midfield in their best positions. I mean, it is narrow and the attacking three midfielders are going to end up in the same place. Also, if England try to play it long, it will FAIL and fail bad.

I dont think he's being singled out, i think (from what i've read) that Fabio wants to play with 3 central midfielders with the full backs doing our wing work.....Lennon is only a winger, no good in the middle of the park whereas Cole (or even Milner) can.

If Slovenia aren't going to come out of their 18 yard box then Lennon's main weapon, his pace, becomes largely ineffective too.
