Joking aside, I would rather sit down but I can live with standing throughout if I have to, but many fans even older than me just can't and smaller kids have no chance of seeing a thing if everyone's standing

I know this has been discussed many times before but it would be nice if clubs took a realistic approach and, without condoning standing, said something like "if you are inclined to stand repeatedly during the game, please choose block XX" to try and keep everyone happy

Wouldn't it be easier if there was just a tacit understanding between fans that front = sit and back = stand. Not that complicated.. but you always get people who insist on sitting in their allocated seat (in the same way you get people who insist on standing)

Don't understand the "i've been allocated this seat so that's where i'll sit" mentality. If moving makes it a more enjoyable experience for you (no-one standing in front of you) and others (able to stand as they wish) why wouldn't you.

Had this at an away game, possibly MK, the guy behing me was in the back row of the block and wanted to sit, I and others around me wanted to stand so i suggested swapping seats.. He refused, as that was the ticket he'd bought. Madness i tells ya

Anyway, this is all moot, we'll be 2 nil down after 15 and all be sat down again anyway.

It was a great touch when Reading sold tickets in the "singing section" for Wembley - i.e. the area where people would want to stand. If I had a choice I would stand for sure. I find it quite annoying when it's a game I'm well up for, I've had a few beers, fans have travelled in large numbers, and as the whistle goes, game kicks off, about 3 rows behind sit down.
