So why has there been all this deb8 over whether his loan is extending?Big Foot wrote:Do you understand why this isYateleyRoyal wrote:Premier League confirm Lampards contract is with City, not with New York. LOLz.![]()
New York City FC aren't an actual football club yet, they're a new franchise joining the MLS and so, as such, there's no club for him to sign & have his registration with.
I think that may be true in terms of the international registration but from what I can see NYFC do exist and are already paying some players, David Villa for one. For some reason, despite all the fanfare, Lampard isn't one of those players who's been contracted and down as being paid by NYFC according to the MLS.Big Foot wrote:Do you understand why this isYateleyRoyal wrote:Premier League confirm Lampards contract is with City, not with New York. I'm pretty sure his agent and lawyer would have picked up on that.ayjaydee wrote:FL was interviewed at length in Saturday's Times and it seems he was convinced he had signed for NY but in reality he had signed a Heads of Agreement with City Football Group the holding company.
Could all be PR but Lampard comes out of the interview very well.
I'm sure he could've done the honourable thing and stood by the intention he had when signing instead of agreeing to leave NYFC in the lurch and stay at Man City for another 6 months.Gilksy wrote:I'm pretty sure his agent and lawyer would have picked up on that.ayjaydee wrote:FL was interviewed at length in Saturday's Times and it seems he was convinced he had signed for NY but in reality he had signed a Heads of Agreement with City Football Group the holding company.

Wow. Ian, you've never been able to judge a player.Ian Royal wrote:good at scoring goals, not a lot else. poor at international level generally, if Kes is going to bring Gerrard into that, well he's not been great for England, but better than fatty.
One of the most overrated players in the country. I doubt he'd show much form at another club, Chelsea's approach very much suits him. That isn't a compliment.
Obsessed aren't you. How many years ago did I type that?Top Flight wrote:Wow. Shame how so many forget about their legends when the player moves on.
