on a serious note..(and i am fairly sure they will not) but if the first of the "big four" failed to qualify for the champions league,what would the ramifications be?.okay..an immediate loss of revenue in season one..but if they failed again the next season..could they afford a rebuilding programme? would the russian walk away?

They are 30-40 million out of pocket straight away, although chicken feed to the mad monk, he may have to dig deep to replace his ageing squad. His Holy Grail has always been the Champions League. This team won't win it and he may just decide that trying to outbid Man City for every player that enough is enough.
