I thought people with over 601 points were able to get tickets? Sale went to the second day, so anyone with 601 points and over had plenty of opportunity. Anyone with below that can't have been to (m)any away games this season, so that's hardly loyal...

I take your point but, as an example, someone who went to the Feyenoord and Darlington home games would have got 40 points.

I've been to Wigan, Newcastle, Fulham, West Ham and got 20 for that.

I'm not claiming to be supporter of the year, but I don't think the current system of allocating points rewards fans adequately.

Those with most points have been to most games.

If you've got 600+ then you have been to plenty, splitting hairs over the odd game or two doesn;t alter the fact that the regular attenders have the most points.

To save time can someone dig up the endless threads that have covered this over the years....

Maybe the fact that we were sat in a shiny new stadium, on padded seats and the atmosphere as a whole was a little 'corporate'.

Tickets for Arsenal were available for 601 points - the sort of total people who have a home ST and go away regularly will have with no problem.

I stand by that. I've only missed Watford and Pompey this season as an AST holder, you get a feel and in fact recognise great swathes of the away support from doing this. Arsenal certainly had a higher percentage of non regular away fans amongst our number that day, as proved by the two people sat next to me that did nothing all game. Not even a clap

So how did these 'unworthy' types manage to get in ahead of the 'real' fans ?

Either theyhad somehow magically obtained large numbers of Royalty points AND been quick enough to grab Arsenal tickets, or the 'hard core' haven;t actually been to enough games to get the points.

It's hard to believe that the 2000+ people at the Emirates were those plastics who went to the preseason game, keeping the Ultras who braved Newcastle away out of the booking process...

Been a home season ticket holder every season and been to a handful of away games each season as well. Add in the bonus Royalty points games over the last couple of seasons as well and it is quite easy to not travel away regularly and still have over 600 points
