Good luck and Merry Xmas to all - Answers will be posted here on Friday 19th.
Very, very good, I've obviously pitched the bar too low here, but at least it saves me posting the answers on Friday. Of course you can add some bonus questions, and they do look very tough indeed. Do you think you should bar jocombes (aka RTFC) though - he is simply champing at the bit to answer these!?Four Of Clubs wrote:1. What is the name of Reading Town's home ground?
Scours Lane
2. What League do Reading Town play in? (full league name including sponsor reguired to get the point)
FTL Futbol (kits) Hellenic Premier League
3. What League did they play in last season (full league name again chaps)?
Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League - Premier
4. Who are Reading Town's kit sponsors?
Ethical Threads
5. Who is Reading Town's top scorer this season?
Graham Lewis
6. Who currently plays number 9 for Reading Town?
Ray 'Whitley Tavern' Spence - when he feels like it.

9. What do Reading Town's most ardent supporters call themselves?
(RTFC) Barmy Army - but others call them all sorts of things![]()
10. And what colour flag do they fly at home games?
Haven't a clue - I'd guess Red/Black - can't say I noticed the last time I went ? ...oooh what a giveaway!![]()
.... and can I add in some bonus questions?
1. What is Defender Jonathan Hazell's nickname?
2. Which midfielder is said to look and play like Patrick Vieira - correct spelling please?
must say he played more like Patrick Moore when I last saw him!
3. Which 'former' rivals of Town knocked them out of the Southern Combination Cup earlier this season.
4. Their ground shares its name with a (not very famous) British Composer - what is it?
5. Town's record attendance is 1,067 in 2002/03 against which current Conference South team?
6. That particular club ONLY finished third that season with 111 points and were BEHIND which two teams?
.... I'll fold my Anorak away now.
... Not at all - I'm sure Little Drummer Boy is itching to answer the bonus questions - I think he'll find Question 2 a bit tough - bearing in mind his hardly blemish-free spelling recordDo you think you should bar jocombes (aka RTFC) though - he is simply champing at the bit to answer these!?

I like football at all levels and will happily watch any team, but the "efforts" of RTFC Drummer have ensured thay're one club I won't ever be going along to.
That's only one division above the level where 'my' first team play.Four Of Clubs wrote: 2. What League do Reading Town play in? (full league name including sponsor reguired to get the point)

It's a much bigger step than you all think, playing teams who are a long way away like Almondsbury, Harrow Hill etc. Leave at 11 or 12 and get back at 7or9 which is a long hard day so tbh you can't lol the league Reading Town are in.papereyes wrote:That's only one division above the level where 'my' first team play.Four Of Clubs wrote: 2. A. LOL. ITO.
I play in the 4th team, 4 divisions below that, so LOL @ me btw tbh ftw rofl
I just did. I get the feeling they're no worse than Pennington, Dukinfield, Stockport, Rochdale etc from Manchester, although I'll grant you that teams (apparently) refuse promotion as the required ground improvements will cost too much.jocombes wrote:It's a much bigger step, playing teams who are a long way away like Almondsbury, Harrow Hill etc. Leave at 11 or 12 and get back at 7or9 which is a long hard day so tbh you can't lol the league Reading Town are in.papereyes wrote:That's only one division above the level where 'my' first team play.Four Of Clubs wrote: 2. At a guess - AFC Wimbledon? I remember the chaos caused in Sandhurst for AFCW's first ever game - 3,000+ people turned up (or something like that).Four Of Clubs wrote:5. Town's record attendance is 1,067 in 2002/03 against which current Conference South team?
