I wonder how many home season ticket holders will be caught out by the 9pm deadline last night. For a game over a week away, it seems an extremely short period of time for season ticket holders to have the right to their seat. I didn't have any intention of applying before today until I noticed the deadline on Hob Nob.

I can appreciate that, for obvious reasons, they want to sell out before the 1st leg but I would have thought giving season ticket holders until, say, Wednesday, would still leave ample time and would spread the workload for the ticket office.

I left it until 9:01pm so I could buy tickets away from the annoying couple who sit behind me, talk utter b*llocks for 90 minutes and slag-off the players constantly unless they perform some Ronaldo trickery.
At least the 'clappers' drowned them out on Saturday, although I'm now deaf from banging 2 of the things against my ears for 90 minutes.

I can appreciate that, for obvious reasons, they want to sell out before the 1st leg but I would have thought giving season ticket holders until, say, Wednesday, would still leave ample time and would spread the workload for the ticket office.

I must admit I found that very odd, it was only the fact that I was in the office yesterday that I managed to get in to book my seat. To give STHs just over 24hrs on a bank holiday weekend when many would have been out Sunday night and most of the day yesterday is slightly odd.

Though I feel that a home play-off game should be included in your ST anyway but that's another arguement - kind of a thank you for your support gesture.

Both are the only two football grounds in the country that i have no intention of visiting ever again.

That wouldn't be easy to do, because the revenue from play-off matches isn't split like "normal" league or cup matches. The money from all 5 matches is put into a central pot, then the League take their share and the rest is split 4 ways. (or it was a few years ago, anyway - haven't heard of it changing since.)

So effectively not charging STHs for one game would distort the whole thing - the club would have to put the money into the pot themselves for those STHs.

I await the inevitable scramble for tickets if we get to the final as the club just sets ticket points requirements at 901 and doesn't offer ST holders first dibs.

Yeah we got caught out by this one. Subsequently 3 STH's that have sat together all season are now scattered around Y25 like confetti. My personal view refers to it being the Bank Holiday weekend and STH's being given a very short window to book reserved seats online. Nice one RFC.

I'm pretty sure that the net income from the semis was split four ways (after the League's cut) but that the final was split only two ways. Seems likely to still be the case.

Hull were awarded 36,000 last year. I assume that was the same for both clubs and will be this season.

13,000 sold in one day. Reading will play Burnley in the play-off semi-finals, and more than 13,000 tickets have already been sold for the home game, and a further 1,000 have been purchased for the away fixture.

Tickets for the second leg, which takes place at Madejski Stadium at 7:45pm on Tuesday 12th May, are on sale now to Member Card holders with 101 Royalty Points or more. Season ticket holders' seats are no longer reserved.

Coz they have given us 1900 tickets with a further 1200 if needed. Surely we should have given them that bit, plus the extra half if needed, like against Southampton and Bristol City (which presumeably they could fill if they've sold out already)

But we know we can sell out, do they? And further more, do you really want to make them any louder than they're going to be? That whole stand is a serious advantage to any away side!
