Think I'd prefer Ye Olde Swiss Cottage.

You have to go through one of the shops to get to it.windermere_royal wrote:well located the torch on google earth, but when i go to street level theres no sign of it, just shops, 2 minute walk north of wembley park station

Where does this zone begin/end? - i will probably stand just on the edge
I'll probably just nab a plastic cup from the Torch and sit on the wall outside pouring my own....wally bassoon wrote:TBM wrote:So when they say "The area around Wembley is a "Controlled Drinking Zone" – it is an offence to have open-containers of alcohol in this zone. Brown paper bag like an American wino, or some sort of tube system up your sleeve.

When I was there for the Millwall Swindon PO final there were hundreds of fans with open containers. Don't think they cared.. Also carried a can from TGM to the stadium when we were there.TBM wrote:So when they say "The area around Wembley is a "Controlled Drinking Zone" – it is an offence to have open-containers of alcohol in this zone. As i said earlier in the thread, how are the police going to enforce this rule with 90,000 people in attendance? Saw plenty of drinking on the street prior to the Champions League final. The fact they mention off licences will stop serving an hour before kick off as well as the pubs suggests they know its going to happen.LWJ wrote:When I was there for the Millwall Swindon PO final there were hundreds of fans with open containers. I expect it'll only be the area immediately around the stadium. They do this at WHL as well, but it's only as you approach the ground.Compo's Hat wrote:As i said earlier in the thread, how are the police going to enforce this rule with 90,000 people in attendance?
