2 teams with a recognisable style and ethos attacking each other in ways most teams couldn't dream of being able to do? Whens the last time we had a final this good on paper?John Madejski's Wallet wrote:Gonna be a much better final than spurs-Liverpool
Looking forward to it
I respect that it would be a dream to watch an Ajax team unmolested by the financial elite but the fact that they embrace their stature in the financial world and focus on young players stepping up to fill in departures (as well as their shrewd transfer market and scouting strategy) is something just as admirable and noteworthy. I hope they win it.Ascotexgunner wrote:Its a nice business model but they have waited over 20 years for another side like the 95 one.NewCorkSeth wrote:Respectfully I disagree. If they kept them for just another couple of years I'm sure an 18 and 21 year old would be even better by the time they reach 21 and 24. So much young talent ends up at big clubs and then flops or just have a generally unhappy time. I agree, it does let young talent flourish but some of it leaves too young.
I'm desperate for them to win it. So fitting for such a great team.NewCorkSeth wrote:I respect that it would be a dream to watch an Ajax team unmolested by the financial elite but the fact that they embrace their stature in the financial world and focus on young players stepping up to fill in departures (as well as their shrewd transfer market and scouting strategy) is something just as admirable and noteworthy.
