Sounds a bit high but then there may have been seats taken up with extra media presence, sponsorship or kept empty for segragation - so doesn't sound unreasonable.RFCUK wrote:According to their official website, it was sold out.. Only equates to around 6.5% of people not showing, which I am sure is about average for an apparent sell out of any sporting event?Svlad Cjelli wrote:Allocation rules say it's 15% in the FA Cup, so the probably is the whole away stand unless they can sub-divide it and the concourse in some way.
Interestingly, though, yesterday's attendance vs Newcastle was only 6,644.
What a maximum of 1,400 compared to 11k home fans at the West Brom game? You talk a lot of rubbishNo Fixed Abode wrote:Why so much more interest in an FA Cup tie over the mighty Stevenage compared to West Brom?
I live in Stevenage and these tickets were definitely sold out. With such a high profile game I would have thought that the club would have tried to get bottoms on as many £30 seats as possible! Lets just say that the Newcastle game was a rehearsal for our match and fingers crossed more seats will be available!Red wrote:Sounds a bit high but then there may have been seats taken up with extra media presence, sponsorship or kept empty for segragation - so doesn't sound unreasonable.RFCUK wrote:According to their official website, it was sold out.. That would be the equivalent of a mad stad sell-out only drawing 22,500.RFCUK wrote:According to their official website, it was sold out.. So perhaps some people couldn't make it..? Really impressed with that.roadrunner wrote:Away stand (South), holds 1400, so we may actually get the whole stand rather than the 10% (710). It doesn't look like they could partition the stand off for both support (facilities etc).
They've done a nice job on this ground. Very tidy away end.
That might explain the wailing and gnashing of teeth over getting a ticket a bit more.roadrunner wrote:Stevenage kick-off confirmed
The Royals' FA Cup fourth round game away to Stevenage will take place at 3pm on Saturday 29th January.
The game has not been selected for live TV coverage.
The clubs are in discussions regarding ticketing, and we will publish selling details and pricing as soon as possible.
If a replay is required in this tie, it would take place at Madejski Stadium at 8pm on Tuesday 8th February, pending any TV selections.
Stevenage are currently 15th in League Two, and this will be the first time the two teams have ever played each other.
I hope we take advantage of that end having two goalsroyal-biscuit-man wrote:Really impressed with that.roadrunner wrote:Away stand (South), holds 1400, so we may actually get the whole stand rather than the 10% (710).
