Yeah, it's easy on the eye up to a point but i'm afraid some parts of football are, by necessity, ugly. And they don't do those bits very well.Wax Jacket wrote:football can be good but frustrating.
at times it's like watchingg Caskey-era Reading (albeit better). plenty of passing along the 18 yard lineMaguire wrote:Yeah, it's easy on the eye up to a point but i'm afraid some parts of football are, by necessity, ugly. Maybe, at that point in time, but we had won the top flight and FA Cup before the 80s - whereas, Reading have never won anything major in their history. I take it you mean Reading, or do you mean your other club?Jackson Corner wrote:My hatred for Chelsea goes back to the 80's. Long may this hatred continue. Bet you were really hacked off when we did the double last season.LUX wrote:read the OP, doofus.
Anyway, you're running away with this title.
Even this aside, I think London clubs will always be more fashionable than their provincial cousins TBF.No Fixed Abode wrote:Maybe, at that point in time, but we had won the top flight and FA Cup before the 80s - whereas, Reading have never won anything major in their history.Jackson Corner wrote:My hatred for Chelsea goes back to the 80's. Completely 'greed Glo. You could take it a step further and say the Championship is actually the worst of both worlds really - the football is corporate and expensive, the grounds identikit and souless - yet the football is not the highest level to watch.Gloria Gooner wrote:The trouble with declaring your 'hatred' for a big Premiership team when your team is mid table Championship is that it looks a bit like sour grapes. I enjoy supporting a Championship side more than I did when they were in the Premiership, but I can't deny that watching a top team like Arsenal play is an absolute treat.

I'm happy with that assessment.LUX wrote:LUX wrote:It appears most lols and dislike is for Liverpool. Is this true?
