I don't even know what your second line means. Probably something to do with fighting.TheMaraudingDog wrote:No complains about Sat night RL, we lost to the better team and I accepted that. Shame you can't chill a bit and do the same.
The main shame is that Reading fans didn't back each other up on Wembley Way in the same way as they are doing online.

01 Jun 2011 10:11Reading also lost to a better team, however we were not as far behind them as MU are to BarcaTheMaraudingDog wrote:No complains about Sat night RL, we lost to the better team and I accepted that. Shame you can't chill a bit and do the same.

Only ever gone "Corporate" once and absolutely hated it. Not to be recommended if your team is involved.Svlad Cjelli wrote:Disappointing. Realised early on that whilst hospitality is all very nice I'd have much rather been out with everyone where I could stand and go mad - got a few glares from some in front of me for swearing loudly at the ref numerous times.Mr Angry wrote:You looked very dapper yesterday SC; how was it with the suits?
In the first half had a group of 5 brain-dead dick-heads in their early 20s sat behind us, who spent the whole time chatting about the parties they'd been to and what computer games they play. Suspect they may have been Swansea reserve team players - few people in the world are as unpleasant as groups of footballers.
Went in for half-time drinks and had top endure a chatty woman on our table coming out with glib inanities "Oh, dear, they're not defending very well, are they?" when I was hardly in the mood to chat so superficially. Didn't this woman realise it was my team that was 3-0 down, and that it mattered to me? But as I was "on duty" had to play along ......
Moved seats in the second half and it was better, but still an unsatisfactory experience - the best bit of the day for me was the 45 minutes at the Green Man earlier in the day. So I've learnt a valuable lesson ......
Even the luncheon was a bit disappointing.
Definitely agree - utterly miserable experience.Terminal Boardom wrote:Only ever gone "Corporate" once and absolutely hated it. Not to be recommended if your team is involved.
Have to say, i'm amazed you took this route for a play off final.Svlad Cjelli wrote:Definitely agree - utterly miserable experience.Terminal Boardom wrote:Only ever gone "Corporate" once and absolutely hated it. Not to be recommended if your team is involved.
I bet no-one told him to sit down during the game either. Though if he started singing he probably got a few strange looks.Red wrote:I wouldn't mind it really - you can still go out boozing with the fans before and after, but you're eating free prawn sandwiches and quaffing free booze instead of queuing for the cr@p Wembley serve up to the masses.
A bit harsh Schards; as I understand it, SC was there in a quasi-official capacity and getting out of it wasn't really an option. (We have all been in situations like that due to work, so SC and Mrs SC had my sympathies).Schards#2 wrote:Have to say, i'm amazed you took this route for a play off final.Svlad Cjelli wrote:Definitely agree - utterly miserable experience.Terminal Boardom wrote:Only ever gone "Corporate" once and absolutely hated it. We all know what corporate is like and the likelyhood that you will be with people who know little or nothing about Reading or the game in general. That's OK for the odd league game before the business end of the season, but i would never take up the option for any important game let alone a play off final.
Even if committed before knowing we would be in it, I'd have made some excuses.
Have to say, I'm amazed you felt the need to "have" to say anything this poorly thought out.Schards#2 wrote:Have to say, i'm amazed you took this route for a play off final.Svlad Cjelli wrote:Definitely agree - utterly miserable experience.Terminal Boardom wrote:Only ever gone "Corporate" once and absolutely hated it.
