We do appear to agree. It does nothing for me, but when I look across to the East stand all I can see is people dancing to the tune - which will send a message to the club to indicate that the fans enjoy it.

I have it on good authority that Jimmy Kebe chose the current goal music and we should all know - he gets the music he wants to - so we have to keep it.

If all the people who do not want it do not it, do dance, sing etc. to it and the clubs views may change. I think it is stupid to play it however, when we are losing e.g. the 1st against Chelsea or even worse when we scored our goal against Spurs when we were 3-0 down with 93 mins on the clock.

The first against Chelsea/West Brom is an ideal time, the comeback is on, prolong the celebrations as long as possible.

A consolation goal in a thrashing is a good time for ironic celebrations.

I like it. Don't join in fully myself, but that's because i'm usually sat next to a bunch on old gits who's only sign of life is tutting when anyone stands up. Doesn't hurt anyone, and the majority join in in some form. It's become a tradition, and whenever i hear that song elsewhere it brings a smile.

They are, but I think they're jumping around more because we've just scored a goal, not because if the music. Without the music they'd still jump around. At Elm Park we used to jump around with spontaneous delight to the goal, now it's a second of spontaneity which then turns into choreographed Americanism as soon as the music plays. In an American basketball game, when your team has lost the ball, the big screen days De-Fence and 4/5 of the stadium chants De-Fence in rote fashion but it doesn't mean this adds to the atmosphere.
