According to ratings today for Sharp, I don't see why he's so much better than Alfie.

Nice to have him here but we need a Roberts-esque striker not another Alfie who is possibly only marginally better than super Alfie.

Missed a really good chance in the second half too. Thought he would definitely score - but ALF has missed a couple of similar one on ones as well this year when he's started.

Overall, I think SHarp is a bit stronger but ALF is probably a little bit quicker over short distances. Remember seeing some OPTA stats last season and ALF was the quickest guy on the two teams(can't remember the oppo).

I've not seen a great deal of difference either. He's a bit stronger and a bit more involved. But ALF's a bit more inventive and a bit more likely to score if he gets a chance.

But Sharp's done alright on the whole, so as long as we're playing 2 up I'd give him another game or two at least. I hate kneejerk droppings based on one poor match.

Bit harsh. 12 goals in the Premiership for the numbers of games he started would suggest otherwise (as well as other proofs). Both are good players and we should try and buy/keep both.

He doesn't want to come back. We'll probably get a small fee for him soon and his wages off the books, and that'll be a good result for us. One of McDermott's biggest most costly mistakes.

We could have 15 strikers on the books, including Messi and Suares: but playing the "Adkins way", they will be virtually useless until the club obtains the services of centre backs that are composed, comfortable on the ball, and capable of progressing the ball up the pitch either by accurate passing, or bringing it themselves.
