A possible explanation for his moves is that many have been with Adkins.percy_freeman wrote:If he was any good, he wouldn't have to keep moving about. I'm out.

I've not seen a great deal of difference either. He's a bit stronger and a bit more involved. But ALF's a bit more inventive and a bit more likely to score if he gets a chance.2 world wars, 1 world cup wrote:I'm asking a genuine question.
According to ratings today for Sharp, I don't see why he's so much better than Alfie.
Nice to have him here but we need a Roberts-esque striker not another Alfie who is possibly only marginally better than super Alfie.
Bit harsh. 12 goals in the Premiership for the numbers of games he started would suggest otherwise (as well as other proofs). Both are good players and we should try and buy/keep both.Jack Celliers wrote:Because LeFondre is shit2 world wars, 1 world cup wrote:Cool. Can someone explain why he's better than Alfie?
Pog has probably done enough to earn himself some interrest, so i'd share in that worry. But never mind, you forgot Nick Blackman.Mr Angry wrote:As well as buying Sharp, the club need to consider an additional striker in case either ALF or the Pog (or both!) leave us in January; I'd not be completely confident of success if, on the 2nd Feb, we have a strike force consisting of Sharp, one of Pog or Alf, and Hal Robson Kanu.......

He doesn't want to come back. We'll probably get a small fee for him soon and his wages off the books, and that'll be a good result for us. One of McDermott's biggest most costly mistakes.Harrydog wrote:is Carrico on a season's loan as i think recalling him would definitely bolster the midfield and allow Guthrie to dictate play further forward.
Release the hounds. He won't get far on those knees.Pepe the Horseman wrote:Carrico has said he'd rather be eaten by rabid dogs than return to Reading.
We could have 15 strikers on the books, including Messi and Suares: but playing the "Adkins way", they will be virtually useless until the club obtains the services of centre backs that are composed, comfortable on the ball, and capable of progressing the ball up the pitch either by accurate passing, or bringing it themselves.Mr Angry wrote:As well as buying Sharp, the club need to consider an additional striker in case either ALF or the Pog (or both!) leave us in January; I'd not be completely confident of success if, on the 2nd Feb, we have a strike force consisting of Sharp, one of Pog or Alf, and Hal Robson Kanu.......
Overrated certainly. Shit, no.Jack Celliers wrote:Because LeFondre is shit2 world wars, 1 world cup wrote:Cool. Can someone explain why he's better than Alfie?
