Exactly my thinking.Armadillo Roadkill wrote:Controversially, I don’t think there is much wrong with either the technical ability or the work rate of the players. (You could argue is started really goes all the way back to McDermott’s time in charge in the PL – he had limited players at his disposal so the fault is not all his but the club has arguably never really got back to the feeling that we are a club on the up that he (McDermott) manage to continue after the blip that was Rodgers).
But rather than just lash out at the manager or the recruitment team, I wonder if we have a sports psychologist. If we do, sack them ‘cause they’re sh1t and get a good one. If we haven’t, get a good one in as soon as possible.
Turning a team from a losing to a winning mentality is crucial thing now – we have the players we have and I can’t see any value in changing the manager.
(I will also admit Meyler is just unbelievable poor and Aluko, whilst not as bad as some would suggest, is still a massive waste of money).
+1 on all of that. We compete in every game. Where most average teams would claim a couple of wins from our performances, we bottle it and win zeroArmadillo Roadkill wrote:Controversially, I don’t think there is much wrong with either the technical ability or the work rate of the players. Is there a recording/video of the interview anywhere?Sutekh wrote:BBC Berks asked about the manager/owners relationship and PC basically said that lots of people could be doing better....
Impression also is that PC is not particularly impressed with the club’s inability to get players out, leaving him with a bloated squad, as well as thinking more could have been done inwardly.
We've lost every game this year by 1 goal.Hound wrote:+1 on all of that. We compete in every game. It’s a mental thing. We’re not a great technical side but mentally we are absolutely bottom of the table
Seriously??SCIAG wrote:The problem with freaking out after every defeat is that when you get a performance like that one, the post-match freak out doesn't have any impact. So as someone who rarely criticised performances, calls for people to be dropped, etc., believe me when I say that first half was the worst I've seen us play for 15 years and that Meyler and Aluko are utter disasters.
Both management and recruitment has been shocking lately.
On a good day we have enough about us to stay up, but going down is a realistic prospect.
Whatever I may have made of your posts in the past, you've redeemed yourself with this.Snowflake Royal wrote: Bacuna 3 Spent more time marking Moore than any Wednesday player.
As usual the Clement out brigade are all over social media, very predictable I suppose, but does sacking managers all the time solve a thing?Armadillo Roadkill wrote:Controversially, I don’t think there is much wrong with either the technical ability or the work rate of the players. At some point in the next few hours the BBC Berks post match review should be available on the BBC radio iPlayer catch up.Jagermesiter1871 wrote:Is there a recording/video of the interview anywhere?Sutekh wrote:BBC Berks asked about the manager/owners relationship and PC basically said that lots of people could be doing better....

Unfortunately it doesn’t help when we don’t play to our best, but we just don’t have the quality for this division. It’s early days but you have to say it doesn’t look good.genome wrote:Seems so.
