I read that they were booked for the half time show at the actual Final, rather than at half time for random games.Winston Biscuit wrote:half times shows booked for the matches featuring 'superstars' Balvin, Doja Cat and Tems
obv, who?! etc. but how long is it until they announce that HT is to be longer than 15 minutes?
Is it 3 acts or just 1 like a “Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich”?Mr Angry wrote:I read that they were booked for the half time show at the actual Final, rather than at half time for random games.Winston Biscuit wrote:half times shows booked for the matches featuring 'superstars' Balvin, Doja Cat and Tems

The half time will have to be extended for the Final as there is no way they can erect some sort of stage, get 3 acts on and off and perform, then get the stage off the pitch in 15 minutes.
As long as the setup is slightly less elaborate than a Superbowl half time show this won't be an issueMr Angry wrote:I read that they were booked for the half time show at the actual Final, rather than at half time for random games.Winston Biscuit wrote:half times shows booked for the matches featuring 'superstars' Balvin, Doja Cat and Tems

This is why lots hate these elite clubs, no morals, don’t care about domestic competitions or even their player’s health. Just follow the £Brum Royal wrote:Opening match tickets being sold to local students for $3.50, on a buy one get 4 free basis.
Keiren Maguire also sharing a tweet yesterday that suggests the tournament is looking to be "expanded to 48 teams after pressure from European giants". So the financially screwed teams like Barca, AC Milan and United are shouting that they're missing out on the gravy train.
Lost their first game 3-0 to Al Itihad with Benzema and Kante among the goals. Still, they will get an eye watering $3m plus for taking part.Winston Biscuit wrote:just learned this morning on my way to work (courtesy of Football Daily podcast) that Aukland City FC, that are taking part in this competition, are not the Auckland FC that play, and have finished top of, the Australian League this season.
Auckland City FC are a semi pro club that play in the New Zealand North Island amateur league
Ridiculous, there’s no space in the calendar for it. You’ve got the WC or Euros every other year and the years they’re not on you’ve got the u21s tournaments. But then we all know FIFA won’t give a flying **** about the integrity of the “kids” when there’s money to be made for them and their mates.Winston Biscuit wrote:Miguel Delaney (a decent journalist) saying today that while UEFA insist this tournament is to only be every 4 years and that won't change, he knows they are already talking about making it every 2 years
Also I listened to a thing recently which basically said FIFA and UEFA are in a battle with each other, and this tournament is to stick it to UEFA to say 'look what we can do', as a response to UEFA running the Nations League and saying to FIFA 'look what we can do'. Both organisations are the only threat to the other, and both trying to show the other that they could run something new and make it big, taking focus from the other.Sutekh wrote:Ridiculous, there’s no space in the calendar for it.
