On paper, a squad that includes VVD, Gravenberch, Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Ekitike, Wirtz, Isak, Ngumoha and a now signed Jeremy Jacquet - has plenty to challenge for the title. Harvey Elliott returns to the squad. Conor Bradley will be fit for the new season. Leoni is back from his ACL inury.

They will miss Ekitike first up, isn't expected back from his achilles problem until October - but Iraola has all the tools he should need.

With Iraola’s intense style of play, I think Liverpool’s squad looks rather lightweight, particularly at that back.

The state of their second half defence against Leeds was quite something. Has to be concerning. Not sure how far away are Jacquet and Leoni - I thought Jacquet would play a part yesterday.

Yeah, I had a quick look at your squad. The first 14 could compete with any Prem team, then you have a couple out injured (Efitike, Bradley, etc). Have to assume it's going to be like that for the whole season (just change the players' names). Do you have an actual right back at the mo? Looking forward to how Rio progresses (obvs hope he's shite you but does well for England )
