300K for gregan would be an absolute bargin, however I fear wages might be a problem.Smoking Kills Dancing Doe wrote:I think Seasn Gregan would be top of anybodys list and he's being touted around for about 300k
Im just copying what is said on the BBC websitePlatypuss wrote:Jobi McAnuff: speedy right winger.
Why would him signing for Cardiff preclude them also signing Gregan?
The real reason is that Cardiff don't want to be dragged into an auction for Gregan now that Leeds are interested.
Don't think you have the money do you? And not sure about it being better to fight for promotion in the championship than against relegation at palace? Why would that be? If Reading go up they will only find themselves in the same posistion and facing the same struggle that palace do so surely he would rather have at least one guarenteed season playing in the premiership.Just 2-0 wrote:Would it not make more sense for us to sign Fitz Hall, better to fight for promotion than against relegation at Palace surely?

15 Aug 2004 12:47Powell wasn't even in the squad yesterday, surely Coppell should go in for him.Sir Dodger Royal wrote:It's looking like Darren Powell will be a Reading player within the next 10 days. However according to Dodger's media chums the deal is reliant on Fitzroy Hall signing for Palace from Southampton.
SDR believes discussions are taking place at present and subject to terms being agreed Hall will sign for Palace.
This then means that Powell will be a fourth choice centre half and therefore is hoping he can resurrect the Reading move which was muted towards the end of last season.
I understand that Palace will be looking for at least £300K if the Royals wish to close the deal.
Having viewed Reading's two opening games then finding a relpacement for the ageing Williams does seem to be a priority. Indeed both Adie and Ivar were muscled out by West Hams young bucks plus Teddy OAP at Upton Park last night.
SDR believes Darren Powell would be the right signing but will the Madman dish the dosh again?

How do you know we have been talking to Palace for weeks?
Oh right, you have a mates, dog's, brothers uncle who works in the club shop who overheard Coppell talking about the Powell transfer whilst getting his nostril hairs plucked?
