John Madejski has all the figures he needs to prove that we can fill a larger stadium on enough matches to make it pay if we remain in the Premier League, therefore that is his current plan. I seem to recall a lot of folk saying we would never fill a 24k stadium in the old days and it was a waste of money, it was not then and if we continue to succeed then it will not be now.
In the future the biggest clubs will play in the biggest stadia, in fact that has been how it has been for most of the past, hence we NEED a bigger stadium.
I for one would be happy if it was built and filled with folk paying £10 a match, in advance, once all the ST holders were satisfied, would anyone here really begrudge others paying less??
After all the choice will be there for the club to push on, that has to be the target, even if many of us are not that in love with the Prem product overall, we still need to strive to be there.
