Plastic scousers in the home ends

There weren't just plastic scousers in the home ends - the away end was full of them too!

A quick survey of the coaches outside the South Stand after the game showed some from:

Essex
Bristol
Weybridge

Surely you are not implicitly suggesting that people, who no longer live locally, cannot go to support their team at away matches are you? If so there are a significant number of Reading fans who don't live in Reading any more but go to home and away matches. If we had a larger exiled fan base perhaps we would take coaches from other parts of the country to away matches.

Was a bit of a melee in the east stand concourse @ half time, by Y21. Some irrate Royals fan berating a Liverpool fan and his girlfriend, thretening to kill them I do believe. Annoyingly only the Reading fan seemed to get thrown out. Anyone else see this and how it began?

I saw the lad being escorted out. I see no reason why the Liverpool fan should have gone - he was blameless as far as I saw.

A fair point, but the only scouse accent I heard was the bloke selling the fanzine. The rest were relentlessly southern.

the weybridge based Reading fans were on the 954 from bracknell yesterday

I have no problem with away fans in our ends if they don't flaunt the fact i.e. shirts/scarves etc and don't get excited if their team scores. I've been in the home end when we've played an away game, it happens all the time - get over it.

Very well behaved L'Pool fan in front of me yesterday with his STH mate. No trouble at all. If away fans keep quiet then let them be. (Oh, and he didn't leave early unlike around a quarter of the away fans who were on the move with over 10 mins to play including added time).

Those of us in the Lower West were told off for inciting the Liverpool fans in the hospitality boxes by over celebrating Harpers goal..... It seemed like every hospitality box was full of glum faced "neutrals".
