Jose to step up?
If Man City are looking at progressing why would they be comparing themselves with Sunderland?Royal Rother wrote:How does Roy Keane's record compare with that?
Lost 6-0 at Chelsea and 8-1 at Boro too.readingbedding wrote:Did the double over Manchester United, which would have pleased the fans no end this year.
Also inherited a really good academy with the likes of Hart (though he's ex Shrewsbury), Onouha, Johnson, Richards & Sturridge.Apocalypse Now wrote:Sven spent £48m and took City from 14th to 9th.
That really isn't good enough.
Probably not a lot of Manchester City fans in your neck of the woods then.Apocalypse Now wrote:If Man City are looking at progressing why would they be comparing themselves with Sunderland?Royal Rother wrote:How does Roy Keane's record compare with that?
Roy Keane isn't a manager with 20 years of experience.

He took a side from bottom of the championship to 15th in the Prem. I'd say Keane > Sven based on thatRoyal Rother wrote:How does Roy Keane's record compare with that?
Not many Reading either now they've all switched back to Chelsea and Arsenal.readingbedding wrote:Probably not a lot of Manchester City fans in your neck of the woods then.Apocalypse Now wrote:If Man City are looking at progressing why would they be comparing themselves with Sunderland?Royal Rother wrote:How does Roy Keane's record compare with that?

Club is in trouble now
GERARD Parker is absolutely correct to be concerned about the goings-on at Manchester City FC (Postbag, May 29) but sadly his words are 12 months too late. I was among the minority of fans who had major concerns about the takeover at MCFC by Thaksin Shinawatra on many grounds. But the majority of fans were far too keen to welcome the club being owned by one individual simply because he was reported to have billions of pounds in the bank.MCFC is now in a more perilous state than it has ever been. We fans have no idea as to the financial state of the club (there being no AGM or statement of accounts) and the club is being used to boost Shinawatra’s popularity in the Far East (end of season tour to Thailand, entertaining Thai MPs at home games, messages on the scoreboard wishing the Thai King happy birthday etc). Should Shinawatra get tired of running the club then it is in a very vulnerable position. MCFC is a rich part of Manchester’s heritage and should never have been allowed to fall into the hands of one individual who is accountable to no one. The football authorities have stood back and allowed club after club to be taken over by egotistical owners who are running them for their own benefit rather than that of the club or their supporters. Sadly, most supporters only wake up when it is too late.
