Earlier and earlier each match the woman behind me says “it’s going to be a long night/afternoon”. OK, even a stopped clock is right twice a day, so she was spot on with the last match, but at this rate by Christmas she’s going to be saying it as soon as Marcus comes out to warm up.

Going to buy a pint at The Jazz Cafe, and as I go to pay with a debit card I'm told I have to purchase £10+ worth of drinks. I say to the woman it should be advertised and she gets stroppy with me.

Disclaimer: I know only pcunters pay with debit cards at a busy time, but it was a one-off and as far as I'm concerned it's a valid method of payment.

Then on more than one occasion kicking their drink over that slowly trickles down onto your seat and the first you know about it is the confusing sensation of whether you have pissed yourself or not.
