When they've filled the rest of the ground (more or less). If it's not already been done and Wolves have sold their allocation and are asking fo rmore I would have thought they'd give it to Wolves. They would need to be pretty sure of selling out to home fans ...

So how does it work if Wolves dont want anymore tickets and they have only got single tickets for home supporters left dotted around the place?

I have wanted to get tickets for myself and the kids before on a few occasions a few days before the game and only had single tickets left to pick from when the whole half of the south stand empty so ended up not going.

And therein lies the rub, what the club should do is to shuffle ST holders around a little bit, in order to fill up many of the single gaps that exist, freeing up more multiple seats in the process. Nothing major needs to be done IMHO, when I had 3 ST next to each other we left a gap of one beside us, handy if an extra wanted to come along, worked for that bacon cheese bloke too, and if someone bought it we asked if they would do a swap,

I would imagine they base it on how much demand they think there is - if they aren;t getting people still asking for tickets and it's just a couple of days to the game they won;t open the South, if a week away the rest of the ground is nearly full and they are getting demand they'll open up. Same kind of decision they have to make re extra allocations of away tickets.

There's just one less now than there was. I see about 80 in Y26 at the mo.

If we give the entire away end to Wolves, we're gonna lose.

We don't have a good track record against teams who bring a massive away support and outsing the home crowd. The lift that a full on both sides away end gives an away side is often too much for the Royals to handle.

There are many examples down the years.

for such an important game, I believe its a no brainer that we give Wolves half the south stand and we sell the other half to home supporters.

I pay for my seat in advance, therefore I choose where I want to sit. If those that come to the odd game struggle to be seated together then that is their problem

Would it matter to you if that seat was one or two to the left or the right though??

We've also won a few away games, where often in excess of 3 sides of the ground (Oxford excepted, obviously) are given to the other team's supporters.

Lets hope this continues. It's such a shame to see such a waste of seats. As the season progresses the uptake with incentives should make for a much greater sense of occasion. This though might just be the occasional one off due to the team we are playing against! Though great to see the 13 banner at Watford, it just highlighted the issues we have either with home support attendance, or the policy of leaving the south for away support who cannot fully sell their allocation.

Great news, i agree that over all we dont fare well in games when the whole south stand is giving to away supprters! Lets just hope we sell them!
