For matches such as this, there is always an "air-lock" system - there are ticket check barriers outside the away turnstiles, and supporters are searched and have a ticket check there, and then only allowed into the "air-lock" one at a time, so no way can anyone jib their way in without a ticket that way.Schards#2 wrote:So is there going to be a ticket check several hundred yards away from the stadium a la a Champions League final?Sun Tzu wrote:I'm not sure there should be much to be concerned about. I doubt that TBH.
Fair enough - but that's not the same as Sun Tzu's comment that no ticketless Brummies will get near the ground!!Dirk Gently wrote:For matches such as this, there is always an "air-lock" system - there are ticket check barriers outside the away turnstiles, and supporters are searched and have a ticket check there, and then only allowed into the "air-lock" one at a time, so no way can anyone jib their way in without a ticket that way.Schards#2 wrote:So is there going to be a ticket check several hundred yards away from the stadium a la a Champions League final?Sun Tzu wrote:I'm not sure there should be much to be concerned about. What went on? Only seen the goals from the game...The 17 Bus wrote:Following the nonsense that went on during that Preston game it is time that Birmingham were deducted points for the behaviour of their fans, 10 points from the star of next season IMHO.
Two came on pitch during the game one of them to smack a Preston player but was caught by stewards. Coins and objects were thrown at the Preston scorer as he made his way back to the tunnel after being sent off.......niceBig Foot wrote:What went on? several thousand wont get near the ground tho, as there will not be that many, even the thick brummie twats will suss out it is better to watch it on the Sky than go 100 miles and risk missing it altogether, won't they??Schards#2 wrote:Hmmmmm.....Sun Tzu wrote:I'm not sure there should be much to be concerned about. FFS Bristol city coming down as well, it will be carnage!!
OIC!!!! so SEVERAL THOUSAND ticketless brummies won't get near the ground, but one or two might. It's all clear as mud now.Sun Tzu wrote:Thanks Schards, I knew I was right !Schards#2 wrote:Hmmmmm.....Sun Tzu wrote:I'm not sure there should be much to be concerned about. As you've spotted there is quite a difference between saying thousands of ticketless Brummies won't get near the ground and saying no one without a ticket will get near it !
Thousands travelling will be obvious to BTP, WMP and TVP. One bloke hoping to get lucky with a spare is a bit harder to spot, and isn;t going to casue a problem.
That God it isn't Brighton otherwise we would have to deal with 25,000 of their fans trying to get inHarry Carry wrote:I work with BC ST holder. They're all coming down Saturday and will be drinking in Dogma before the game. 5,000ish coming down apparently.

5000 in total coming down. Obviously they won't all be drinking in Dogma.Deathy wrote:5000 in DogmaThe 17 Bus wrote:Harry Carry wrote:I work with BC ST holder. They're all coming down Saturday and will be drinking in Dogma before the game. 5,000ish coming down apparently.

Don't patronise me. You implied that all those without tickets (i.e. thousands of ticketless Brummies) wouldn't get near the ground - you were asked how this would be implemented but didn't respond and now you're saying that BTP, WMP and TVP will be checking EVERYONE's ticket? Where? When? Then you decide that saying thousands of ticketless brummies doesn't mean ALL of them, and that one bloke might sneak in under the radar.Sun Tzu wrote:You are having a bad day aren't you.Royal Lady wrote:OIC!!!! so SEVERAL THOUSAND ticketless brummies won't get near the ground, but one or two might.
