Surely the dullest televised sport just has to be golf. Absolutely nothing to redeem it- except perhaps watching the grass grow.

Well, asides from when I happen to be on holiday in July, I only ever get to watch the Tour as highlights, and that's good enough. Last year, I was in Normandy for two weeks during July, in a cottage without radio or tv. I bought one of those little adapters for my laptop, which had frankly awful reception. Because we were on holiday, I obviously didn't sit around all day watching the whole stage, but racing back in to watch Cavendish win his stages on the tiniest, grainiest image I've ever had to watch, was still one of the most exciting sporting events of last year for me.

Interesting chaps, and very good Lux!! Glad I got a response as that was obviously the intention!

Obviously it takes all sorts and I respect your (collective) views - for me, I just can't get a sense of flow - because the stages are so long the highlights skip so much of the positional changes it just lacks any excitement.

The scenery is nice though!

The Ryder Cup, Masters and Open are superb, particularly the final days. The dullest sport, without question, is American Football. Perhaps they should change the rules, to make it more TV friendly.

Now you can appreciate how some of us grew up watching sport on TV.
