I think it was - I remember Daganaham I think we played and Thou Voice and family were allowed to sit in Thou Voice and families seats.

That was the cup one that went to penelties and Steven Hunt missed the opener and was allowed to retake.

There sure as hell was not many there during that night - but - we were allowed to sit in out seats.

Dagenham was away - you may mean Luton (att 7,498 if you mean last season), or more likely Darlington in the first year in the PL. The attendance that match was over 10k (10,353, to be precise.) See my post which you quoted.

Darlington, you were allowed to sit in your own seat, I was in "my seat" in the North stand that night, the attendance was 10353, around double what we had last night.

So a much bigger crowd than we had last night had more of the stadium open. as the whole stadium was open they allowed you to buy your own seat.

What do they do when the shut the North stand? allow those in the west and east to buy their own seat and tell season ticket holders from the north they have to wait x days before they can buy a ticket because they need to let east stand season ticket holders buy their seat first?

Or just make it sit anywhere?

If we had 6,000 last night, and we were sat in our own seats, there would be no atmosphere, at least last night it was given a go.

Also, it's not just a cost cutting exercise for the club but for the supporter too. If we opened up all the ground, we'd need more:
stewards,
programme vendors
turnstile helpers
bar and food helpers etc

this would all add on to the cost of the ticket and instead of paying £10 we'd be paying more than double that. If this was the case, there'd be less than half the crowd there than there was.

The same way, from the pre-season friendly, it was a joke we could not use our car park passes there.

The joke is on you then as I used my car park pass for the Chelsea game.

Yes so did I. It was only for Murts testimonial that passes were not valid and that was because the game was organised by the Trust not the Club.
