Fair enough. This guy is a disaster waiting to happen. How much value for money will he be if he is in prison, or suspended for a failed drugs test?
I do remember reading those stories about his alleged cocaine abuse. It's only a matter of time before he is caught, if he keeps doing it.
Adrian Mutu anyone?
David Luiz has already respresented Benfica in the tournament though, so is ineligible.soggy biscuit wrote:Chelsea have to pick 1 from either Torres or Luis to go into their CL squad.
Just searched the website for 'Torres'. About 500 hits. Airbrushing history takes time comrade - unless you don't have any.No Fixed Abode wrote:They're going to have to sort that pic out on the Kop now...
Will Rooney go along?Svlad Cjelli wrote:Can't wait for the carnage when Gerrard takes Carroll out on a tour of Liverpool's nightclubs......
Is Carroll still under the court order that he live at Kevin Nolan's house? Nasty commute if so...Svlad Cjelli wrote:Can't wait for the carnage when Gerrard takes Carroll out on a tour of Liverpool's nightclubs......
Personally, I thought that was abosolute class. Talk about a piss take!Ginger Ninjas wrote:Redknapp tried to buy Phil Neville - but Moyes rejected first bid of 250k, which was later improved to 500k in two installments!

Yep. Harry was getting into the spirit of the occasion yesterday with his scattergun approach to Spanish strikers and the late attempt on Adam. I doubt he was really after any of them, but just fancied a bit of sport.Royal With Cheese wrote:Personally, I thought that was abosolute class. That was my interpretation of events. He's like the Morcambe and Wise Christmas special of the transfer window.Row Z Royal wrote:Yep. I liked this from Sid Lowe :I had the strangest dream. Liverpool spent £35m on Carroll and Spurs chased every single striker in Spain to the theme from Benny Hill...Row Z Royal wrote:Yep. Which league's he playing in?Royal Lady wrote:I expect this has been mentioned, but how the mighty have falled - Sidwell goes for £500k.
And I wouldn't say Sidwell was ever mighty. He chanced his luck at a bigger club for more money, it didn't work out, moved to Villa, didn't work out and now he's at Fulham where he will be on substantially more money and playing Premier League football. If he was down in league 1 or 2 you might have a point.Royalee wrote:Which league's he playing in?Royal Lady wrote:I expect this has been mentioned, but how the mighty have falled - Sidwell goes for £500k.

The Torres transfer will have been worth £10M alone; VAT is at 20%, so on £214M of transfers, the Chancellor pocketed £42.8M.TBM wrote:I read somewhere, not sure if its true, but from the transfer dealings yesterday the economy will get about £15m from the VAT?
