Watching it too - atmosphere at Portman Road dreadful. Not sure I agree with this televised mid week thing, must be affecting crowds particularly away followings.Hound wrote:Preston and Ipswich both losing - would take that tonight
Watching the Ipswich game - they look pretty useless. Brentford decent but we knew that
Money probably..John Smith wrote:When on earth did Bolasie join Villa?! Surely he's easily still Prem quality?!
Was left out of the Palace PL Squad, so was available for loan. Imagine Palace wanted him to stay in England in case they want to call him back in Jan so had to drop down a level. Was between Villa & Boro I think.John Smith wrote:When on earth did Bolasie join Villa?! Surely he's easily still Prem quality?!
Isn't he an Everton player these days?Stranded wrote:Was left out of the Palace PL Squad, so was available for loan. Not being a smart arse here-I just remember Everton paying what I thought was way over the odds for him.Stranded wrote:Quite right - right reason, wrong clubVictor Meldrew wrote:Isn't he an Everton player these days?Stranded wrote:

Villa stretching the FFP to the limit again no doubt.NewCorkSeth wrote:Money probably..John Smith wrote:When on earth did Bolasie join Villa?! Surely he's easily still Prem quality?!
They had that Terry wage to spend. Arguably Bolasie is more worth it than scumbag Terry.Coppells Lost Coat wrote:Villa stretching the FFP to the limit again no doubt.NewCorkSeth wrote:Money probably..John Smith wrote:When on earth did Bolasie join Villa?! Surely he's easily still Prem quality?!
He was fresh off a good season with Palace and started decently if I'm not mistaken. Everton overspend quite a bit it seems.Victor Meldrew wrote:Not being a smart arse here-I just remember Everton paying what I thought was way over the odds for him.Stranded wrote:Quite right - right reason, wrong clubVictor Meldrew wrote:

That Terry wage almost screwed them over + u add in a Tammy Abraham and a Tuanzebe.NewCorkSeth wrote:They had that Terry wage to spend. Speaking of the man I'm surprised we didn't know, given our Chelsea contacts, Abraham was available for a championship loan. I know Cardiff wanted him and we're not the most attractive club but I would have taken him on loan for a season over buying Baldock and McNulty.Coppells Lost Coat wrote:That Terry wage almost screwed them over + u add in a Tammy Abraham and a Tuanzebe.NewCorkSeth wrote:They had that Terry wage to spend. Hoping they will learn a lesson soon with the spending habits.
They have lower parachute payments this year, and they run out altogether next year. Could be in trouble unless they get promotedCoppells Lost Coat wrote:That Terry wage almost screwed them over + u add in a Tammy Abraham and a Tuanzebe.NewCorkSeth wrote:They had that Terry wage to spend.
