Yes, similar to Wrigley Field in Chicago, aka The World's Largest Open Air Toilet.just some bloke wrote:Liverpool to play Roma here on Wednesday:
Fenway Park is one of the world's most iconic sporting venues, home of the Boston Red Sox for 100 years since 1912. But it really isn't an appropriate place to play football.

22 Jul 2012 13:36A Sunday afternoon at Wrigley Field, siting in the shade, drinking beer and watching the Cubs lose, seemed the most quintessential American experience when I went over there.Ark Royal wrote: Yes, similar to Wrigley Field in Chicago, aka The World's Largest Open Air Toilet.
Thought the Skydome was awesome but I was 12 when I went. 20 mins to put the roof over puts the Wimbledon shambles to shame.Rev Algenon Stickleback H wrote:A Sunday afternoon at Wrigley Field, siting in the shade, drinking beer and watching the Cubs lose, seemed the most quintessential American experience when I went over there.Ark Royal wrote: Yes, similar to Wrigley Field in Chicago, aka The World's Largest Open Air Toilet.
It's old, but it's still a classic stadium. Far better than the other stadiums in Seattle and Toronto that I saw games in.

23 Jul 2012 16:41It was a game in the Skydome that made me realise I really will never appreciate baseball. A tie-breaking 8th inning bases-loaded home run had the fans dancing in the aisles, and had me thinking "good, it'll be over soon"Dave the rave wrote: Thought the Skydome was awesome but I was 12 when I went. 20 mins to put the roof over puts the Wimbledon shambles to shame.
Baseball is dull as dishwater though.

02 Nov 2012 00:25Great find - that takes me back a few years. Seeing that now, it was reminds me of 1970s Stamford Bridge, with the muddy expanse behind each goal before the end terraces.Terminal Boardom wrote:Stumbled across some grainy footage of Eastville. The stand behind the goal looks like an after-thought. Where are Bristol City supposed to be finding the £40m for this? They're supposed to be in the shit financially.WoodleyRoyal wrote:brizzle city to move to new ground http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-bristol-21333724

they should see if they can get the OK to share at CopthallStooper wrote:Barnet to move out of Underhill at the end of the season

12 Feb 2013 18:41It's a nice little setup there, with a half-built stadium that was being built for Wealdstone (I think...). But the off-pitch facilities are brilliant (England have trained there in the past) and it'll be perfect for them. The Tory council in Barnet have been screwing them over for years and stopping them doing anything, so this is a sensible move.Stooper wrote:Barnet to move out of Underhill at the end of the season

13 Feb 2013 02:56Perhaps the supporters can learn some lessons from the Charlton supporters and take on the Councillors at the local elections. What concerns me is that there is only a 10 year deal.Alexander Litvinenko wrote:It's a nice little setup there, with a half-built stadium that was being built for Wealdstone (I think...). 13 Feb 2013 11:08Sadly there are a lot fewer Barnet fans than Charlton fans, so I doubt it. Agree with the concerns, but I do think Tony Kleanthous is one of the most honest and trustworthy people in football - he's genuinely doing it for the good of Barnet. There's lots of work going on to find a permanent home too, so I believe him when he says it is only temporary.Terminal Boardom wrote:Perhaps the supporters can learn some lessons from the Charlton supporters and take on the Councillors at the local elections.
