Didn't realise how awful Brentford's play-off record is. 8 appearances, five semi finals, three finals, and zero promotions.
I still remember one of their playoff campaigns being directly after their loss to Doncaster where if they’d scored their 90th minute penalty, they would have been promoted but alas, they missed, Donny broke and scoredSanguine wrote:Pleased for Brentford. Huddersfield have a good play off final record as well winning 4 out of the 5 finals they’ve played in. Of the 5 finals, 3 have gone to penalties and Huddersfield have won them all.Winston Biscuit wrote:I believe Blackpool are the most successful play off team being the only one to win all 3 levels, getting to 7 finals from 8 plays offs, winning 5 of the finals they have appeared in
Teams in red and white strips do much worse than anyone else. Between Lincoln, Brentford, Shef Utd and Sunderland they have totaled 27 appearances, getting to 12 finals and not won any

They were never going to do it after that
Charlton contemplating an appeal now as a resultWinston Biscuit wrote:Shef Wed starting next season on -12 points.
Would have been enough to see them finish bottom this season, and having it confirmed now would presumably impact on their possible transfer dealings this summer too.
Isn’t it just! Can see why Charton aren’t happy why is SW points deduction not this season! Is it because the season has already finished? I think Wigan appealed on FridayURZZZZ wrote:Charlton contemplating an appeal now as a resultWinston Biscuit wrote:Shef Wed starting next season on -12 points.

What an absolute mess it all is
An independent disciplinary panel made the final decision, presumably late yesterday, and is therefore after the 19/20 season finished so would presume that is why the deduction has to be next season and not able to be retrospectively applied.SouthDownsRoyal wrote:Isn’t it just!
