He was blocked, and there was a light shove. He should be much stronger and not end up lying in the goal, but getting to the ball was always going to be difficult.Royal_jimmy wrote:Button just doesn't come out for corners. First one was easily preventable and was rooted to the spot.
Excellent.Carnabyswhiskers wrote:Selles' comments on the red card are brilliant. This from the Chronic:
'The major disappointment was a red card for teenager Abraham Kanu, who received two bookings.
"The entire back line was very young without much experience," Selles explained. "That’s why these games will make us better, because Abraham was late twice. The first one is a bad pass from a teammate, and he’s covered the space. The second one was almost last man in the line.
"I think it is a big learning for him but things happen. If it didn’t happen today, it could have happened in League One or another scenario so we need to use it. It was a fair second yellow and not good for the team because we played a long time with 10 players, but it gives us a different flavour of what we can do with 10 players.
"Hopefully he will put it in practise the next time he steps on the pitch and as a team we know it doesn’t matter if we have 10 players, we can still score goals."
No whinging, no blame, and somehow a positive derived from it. OK the fact we ultimately went through helps, but this is a tremendous way to support a young player doing his best.
Kanu got nowhere near the ball and took him out, anyone can see it was a clear yellow. It csrtainly wasn't just shoulder to shoulder.Sutekh wrote:Harborough’s first shouldn’t have been given after the amount of shirt pulling from the Harborough player who scored.
Don’t understand why Kanu got a second booking for what is essentially two players giving a shoulder barge to each other with the Harborough player then going down like someone had shot him and rolling about on the ground.
Camara’s goal was an own goal.
Both players were nowhere near the ball, both players committed to a shoulder charge.Snowflake Royal wrote:Kanu got nowhere near the ball and took him out, anyone can see it was a clear yellow.
