I’m not feeling the Luís Castro love in. Yes, he’s Portuguese. What contacts does he have over here? I just see signings of lesser known overseas players with him and Nani at the helm. We haven’t got the money to do a Wolves Plus the academy players may be overlooked.

I’d be so happy if Martin O’Neill got the job. I really think he would lead and get the status of the club back on track.

Massively disappointed if Bruce gets it.

Steady pair of hands, great success in the Championship. He's a boring appointment yes but we could do a lot worse and not really a lot better for me. I would much prefer a younger manager from League 1 or 2 personally but I wouldn't have too many complaints about Steve Bruce should he come here.

He is a poor man's Saggy Harry. Just a 'name' that like to throw money around and move from club to club. He has had some success yes, but much of that was based on his spending and his teams have never played attractive football.

Hope he carries on writing his novels if he comes here though

The players were doing their best for each other - the only rifts in that team were with the management. But they were seriously hampered by a lack of any kind of a plan other than defend continuously, lump it up front at random intervals and hope for the best.

Don't know if this is why you plumped for MON - but there are a lot of nobbers who are obsessed with getting in a "tough" manager who will give the players a kick up the arse, without any thought of whether said manager is actually any use at anything other than ranting and raving.

I don't think it was false, sure the performances were dull and we didn't create many chances but defensively we were ok - Al Habsi being a key factor in that regards, sadly instead of building on that and improving the team the opposite happened. Boring football + not winning games = Fan disgust.

In regard to the new manager, I'd be quite happy to see Parky come in. He's a solid guy, a solid manager, and would be a potentially long term appointment with the desire to build something not just use us as a stepping stone.

I just feel MON would be a good leader with solid knowledge of the football league, second to none experience and good contacts throughout the game. Admittedly I haven’t watched much of Ireland play. But that’s different gravy to club football where, he has largely been successful.
