They have made the decision based on the facts, though, the facts are that we have sold out every league game since that big club Brighton came in Nov2005, this means in the opinion of those running the club that we can sell more seats if we have them, hence they have decided to go ahead with the expansion next Summer.

You have been going on about how demand has fallen this season with nothing to back it up. We have sold out of season tickets and sold out our first and only home match.

I'm not against the expansion provided there is a demand for it.

It worries me that the decision will be made on the basis of a high water mark for Reading attendances and we will be left with a half full stadium devoid of atmosphere once the novelty of the prem wears off or, worse, we are relegated. If we have sell outs every week with thousands who wanted to go unable to then i'd be happy with the extension.

.......as i've said several times, it's very early days so lets see how the season progresses.

Read the very last paragraph. Tickets available a few days before the second ever Premiership game at the Madejski. They sold out at the end of the week.

Chelsea tickets only sold out on the Tuesday before the game.

Neither say the ponits threshold that tickets were avaiable to though, but they were still available within a few days of the games....

Lots of games went on sale to all member card holders last season

you didn't even need a member card for the home game to man city near the start of last season! I bought paper tickets for 2 friends for that game.

There were whole batches of empty seats, particularly in the Upper West right next to the South Stand, are you seriously suggesting that the whole lot of them were on holiday? I'd suggest that we didn't sell out because demand has fallen, not that everyone was on holiday who wanted a ticket.

Particularly as, apparently, we sold all the home tickets for every home game last season.

I used the HNA results page, perhaps the soccerbase page is tickets sold rather than attendance, I saw loads of gaps in the 3 main stands, but the South was mostly full

The Everton crowd last year was 23053. It was before christmas and Reading sold all their tickets so, presumaby, Everton did not.

Today, the Everton end was full and there were swathes of empty seats in the Reading end.

But i'm sure it's not due to falling demand, it because everyone's on holiday, or err...lots of people were ill, or err....there's a lunar eclipse soon.

Hmmm so are you suggesting that the away end was half full for that game, I think not, it was mostly sold out and there were a lot of Everton folk in the West as well in hospitality areas. I would however agree that there were more gaps today, but the official crowd was just 200 less, how would you explain that?
